Jodi Boone specializes in giving healing and relaxation massage. Nurturing and nourishing, massage is truly an essential part of a our self-care and healing. Massage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, restoring balance to all bodily systems and functions. In the parasympathetic state, we reduce stress hormones that accumulate in our bodies, assimilate nutrients, eliminate wastes, increase blood circulation and relax and rest in a deep way that promotes regeneration and healing to the mind, body and heart.
Covid-19 & Massage with Me: I am fully vaccinated since February. In my treatment room, I have a high-quality air purifier. The purifier is made for rooms that are 250 square feet, and my treatment room is about 100 square feet. We can also do your treatment with the window open, if you would like, so there is even more ventilation. Of course, I sanitize between clients, and also wear a mask throughout your treatment. In the clinic that I work in, Tilia Natural Health, we conduct a brief wellness check when you arrive, including taking your temperature and asking a few screening questions. My practice has been open since mid-June 2020, and I have had no issues with Covid-19 to date. I feel this is in part because of the safety precautions in place. Last updated on May 2, 2021.
Abhyanga or Ayurvedic Warm Oil Massage is Ayurveda’s traditional healing massage. In addition to being deeply relaxing, it is nourishing and nurturing on all levels – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The focus of Abhyanga, a full body massage, is to deeply relax the mind and body, and bring a sense of peace and centeredness. This treatment is highly recommended for vata constitution or imbalances, insomnia, anxiety, grief or loss.
Therapeutic Massage is a nourishing full body massage, where I give extra attention to specific areas of your body that are especially in need, such as neck and shoulders, for example. If you’re feeling tension, tightness, stiffness, limited range of motion or pain, this can be addressed, while receiving a full-body massage. Warm oil and essential oils are used to complement the healing effects of your treatment. Please note that I do not do deep tissue / deep pressure massage. I can refer you if needed, just let me know.
Tandem Abhyanga Give yourself the very special gift of two practitioners giving you traditional Ayurvedic Warm Oil Massage. Four loving hands will massage you for 1.25 hours, bringing you into a deep state of relaxation and bliss.
Massage & Reiki Jodi will give you a nurturing and therapeutic full body massage, while Heather or Michael, one of the beautiful Reiki practitioners I works with, gives you healing Reiki energy throughout your massage, promoting deep healing and relaxation.
Reiki Jodi is a Reiki practitioner and offers deeply healing Reiki energy sessions. Essential oils are also used.
Shirodhara This is a profound Ayurvedic treatment that begins with foot, hand, head, face, neck and shoulder massage. During this treatment, a continuous stream of warm, herbal oil is poured over the center of the forehead, as well as the crown of the head. Shirodhara is extremely helpful for stress, a restless mind, insomnia and anxiety.
Basti This treatment is paired with Abhyanga and can include hrid, kati, janu, greeva and netra.
Children’s Massage – Many clients have asked me to also offer massage to their children, due to feeling stressed for various reasons, including exam preparation, school applications, social pressures, etc. For children up to age 17, I offer a one-hour massage, and the price is reduced to $65. Parents are welcome to be in the room during the massage, relax in the lobby, or walk around Tangletown.
